QUILT SHOW 2010 Chairperson - Carolyn Hunter October 1, 2 and 3, 2010 Theme: "It's A Whole New Quilt" |
2010 Challenge "A Whole Cloth Quilt" 1. The top of a whole cloth quilt will be one piece of fabric. (There are fabrics available which come in the length and width of a large bed-size quilt, thus no seams can be placed in the top of the quilt. 2. The top may be a preprinted fabric to which the maker adds quilting. 3. The back can be made up of more than a single piece of fabric. 4. Embellishments, for example, trapunto, beading, painting and embroidery are acceptable on your quilt top. 5. The usual definition of a quilt applies to this quilt. Include a quilt top, batting and a backing fabric. PLEASE NOTE: We invite all member to look in the guild library for the Volume II Small Quilt Quilting Designs, a national vendor donation to the quilt show committee. You may check out the quilt designs and make a copy of your chosen design. Prompt return to the library will ensure all interested members get a chance to pick from the available designs. You are welcome to develop your own design or use another source when quilting your entry. |
